OK I live up here in the Northeast and am trying to dry out from all the rain we have been getting.
Just recently I was asked about a possible recipe for baby wipes and I think you asked the right person. My wife actually should get credit for this but I make them all the time and it saves us a lot of money. When you have 4 kids you start to learn ways to cut corners and manufacture your own products instead of buying it all if you know what I mean.
Here is the list of products you will need:
*Rubbermaid 6 Cups (1.4L) containers from the plastic/housewares department at Walmart
*Bottle of Equate Baby Oil
*Bottle of Equate Baby Bath
*Roll of Bounty paper towels
*Sharp Knife
*Running Hot Water
Once you get all the ingredients from above what you do is take the knife and cut the paper towels in half. This is the hardest part. Cut it so you have 2 short rolls of paper towels. Place one half roll into the Rubbermaid plastic container (cut edge down). Squirt 3 or 4 teaspoons of Baby Oil and 3 or 4 teaspoons of Baby Bath onto the top of the paper towels. Spread it around evenly across the top. Trickle warm to hot water all over the top of the paper towels and let it filter down through entire roll until plenty damp. I normally trickle until there is standing water at the bottom of the container, then I tip over container to pour out excess water. Place the lid on top of the container for minimum 10 minutes. Take off lid and pull out cardboard roll in the paper towels.
Pull out paper towels from the center of roll and apply to baby.
This normally lasts a lot longer and is cheaper than the premade store bought stuff. This may sound gross but the Bounty paper towels clean up poop so much better especially with the dippled paper. Store bought wipe are smooth edges and tend to smear the poop rather than pick it up.

I’ve been looking for this baby wipe recipe for over a week. Thanks for posting it!
[...] Just recently I posted a recipe for Dijon Chicken Breasts. This made me think of a recipe for home made baby wipes I posted a while back on my personal blog. Daddy Daze posted it as his blog as well so I thought maybe I would try and get some mileage out of it. [...]
Holy cow, this is genius! Have 3 kids, 2 in diapers still, so this will come in VERY handy! Thank You Silly Dad!
I just found your site and will be bookmarking it!
In regards to making baby wipes. I use an electric knife. This is real easy…can’t imagine using just a knife. I do things a little different though. Cut the roll of papertowels in half. Then I take the cardboard out of the center. Place one cut half of papertowels in the container. In a pyrex measuring cup I put 1 1/2 cups water. Add 2-3 tablespoons baby wash, 1-2 tablespoons baby oil. Mix and then pour over the roll. Put lid on container, let towels absorb the liquid. Wipes work great. I have found it ppays to buy a good papertowel.
Thanks for giving the very needed information…I want to found out in the blog,at last you gave it..hehe…hehe

I never thought about making my own baby wipes?! Definitely going to have to try it, though. Wish I would have thought of it before baby number three.
It seems the recipe is pretty useful. I will try to prepare such a staff.
I would like to have the chance of read more about it.I would like to read more about it
