As cold weather sets in, think of Summer

One of the problems with living in Maine is the early onset of Winter and the colder months. When it is time to pick up the yard toys and get them stored away for the season, then it is time to think about Spring time. It’s always fun heading up to the lake for a splash and some sun. Check out this puppy. I was thinking of getting something like this for the kiddos to jump on… What kid doesn’t like jumping. Combine that with water and it’s perfect.

Movie: Shooter

Shooter is an excellent movie and one I thoroughly enjoyed. Of course I love action movies, suspense, and nobody messes with Mark Wahlberg. These 3 factors made this movie a great hit for me and I probably will own it. I rented it on Netflix this week and have already seen it 3 times.

I Need to Use the Bassroom

When nature calls…

What’s funny about having a lot of kids is that no matter where you are the kids ALWAYS need to use the bathroom. Take the kids to the movies and you miss half the show as you shuffle kids back and forth from the bathroom. I take the kids to the beach and we spend half the day in the portapotty.

So if you want to take the kids fishing and actually get in some fishing time bring along a bassroom. Thanks to JR over at Outdoor Life for showing us a pending patented product called the “bassroom”. I think it speaks for itself.

Great slogan for their advertising campaign too. “Don’t get on a boat that doesn’t have a Bassroom!”

Can you beleive it they have potty time DVDs. I crack up about it but you know if you stop and think about it long enough you begin to see the ingenious behind it all. Here is a DVD from PottyTrainingSolutions.com and a little review.

Daddy Diaper Bag

Check out this diaper bag for dad. I get a lot of questions directed at me as to what I use for a diaper bag. I don’t have the one displayed here but this one looks kinda cool. Trust me, as a Stay at Home Dad, you will want a nice diaper bag to bring with you out in public. Forget the ones mommy usually brings. You are now an official SAHD so get serious and get yourself a decent bag you are comfortable with. You will want to be able to fit stuff in it like diapers, baby wipes, bottles, and towels. What is important is a long strap so you can sling it around your opposite shoulder. Men don’t carry bags like a purse, we slip the strap up over our head and hang it on our opposite shoulder.
